Ballinadee August 2015

De Courcey Vintage Club held their annual harvesting festival at Ballinadee, Co. Cork on the Monday of the August Bank Holiday week end. Weather was bright and breezy and ideal for corn cutting and after ploughing.

John is Chairman of the Club and a crack organiser as was evident on the day. Rev. Pat O’Donovan CC and Club member spoke highly of the event when interviewed by TV media present. “All praise to John” he was reported to have said.

All sorts of aparatus, old and very old was in action from hand sythe, to horse drawn reaper & binder to early harvesters. Mary O’Neill headed up the catering corps to the appreciation of stewards and attendees.

Various photographs herein give a true flavour of a most enjoyable day in the country.

Thank you again… John & Mary.
