NEC BIRMINGHAM in NOVEMBER 2017

Having received an invitation from The Model T Register of Great Britain for a presence on their stand at NEC in November, we gladly accepted.   We brought our banner of the stainless steel replica which was placed in position alongside the Golden T. On the stand was a work in progress 1911 speedster that was inspected by many visitors who were interested in the component parts of a T. Another car of huge interest was a 1913 Touring Car with real history, owned by one family for a century.   Irish people were represented.  Some residing inUK;...

BRASS BRIGADE | DUNGARVAN in OCTOBER 2017

Out of an entry of 90 brass cars, all up to 1918, there were 33 Model T Cars plus a Model N, a splendid representation of our historic vehicle. Shane Houlihan, chief organiser, member and T owner complimented Club members for their sterling support of IVVCC and their participation at the annual event in Dungarvan. A truly memorable occasion set in a wonderful setting at Curraghmore House in County Waterford is the historic home of the 9th Marquis of Waterford. His ancestors (the de la Poers) came to Ireland from Normandy after a 100-year...

STRADBALLY in AUGUST 2017

We gathered at Stradbally on the first Sunday over the bank holiday week end to celebrate with our hosts their 53rd Annual Steam Rally.  To the fore were John Hendy and Paul Murphy, the duo that do the real preparations to make our day enjoyable and pleasant. Weather was ok – sunny spells, mixed showers and everything in between.  Great turnout of members and their Ts. A great addition to the Irish stock of Model Ts was a 1909 early two lever car, the only one of its kind in Ireland with one other in Scotland.  Pride of place was given...
